My mom and dad will be celebrating their 50th anniversary next year. They always wanted to go to London to see the Queen and Buckingham Palace. My four brothers and sisters decided that we would send them there as a surprise anniversary gift. We wanted to make sure that they wouldn’t have to pay anything for the trip or sightseeing or their food. We wanted to take care of everything. My sister did research on the internet and checked prices for hotel rooms, restaurants, tourist sites and airfare. Taxi Fares in London was another thing she checked. After she got all the prices that we needed, we split the bill five ways. I am now having money deducted from my check each week and put into a special account for my part of the bill. My parents have no idea what we’re doing for them. I can’t wait to see my mom’s face when we show her the itinerary.
